Can you upgrade using Avios on all tickets?

Depending on availability, most cash reservations can be upgraded with Ba upgrade with avios either at the time of reservation or subsequently. Only the lowest economy (World Traveller) fares (Q, O, and G) are always ineligible for an upgrade using Avios. You can only use Avios to upgrade to the next cabin on a reward flight if that cabin is still available. Avios cannot be used to upgrade at the airport or while flying.
